Krista can work with your child at home, school and/or in the community to support your child and their individual needs. She works with children 0-6 years old who need support to fully be themselves in their lives and the environments that they live in. Children are joyous, engaging, playful, and emotionally complicated. All aspects of themselves should be celebrated and should be encouraged to find the ways to be themselves within the world around them.  Krista is a highly skilled educator who is able to build on a child’s individual strengths and support their areas of need. She specializes in social emotional development and sensory processing needs. She is seamlessly able to follow a child’s lead yet help them be included in the classroom curriculum and daily life needs. Krista also has many years of experience working within the EI and CPSE system and can help families navigate through this process.

Consultation

Krista can consult with families to help them find the support that their child needs. Observation at school and/or home can be made in order to discuss action plans and further steps forward . Recommendations and resources can also be provided.

Krista can do a formal or informal educational evaluation. This can be done in the home or in the school setting with direct one on one assessment between Krista and the child as well as interviews with parents, caregivers, teachers, etc. A written report will be developed as well as a follow up meeting to discuss the findings.
