She focused on family and child therapy, engaging in training in trauma therapy, including TF-CBT (Trauma Focus-Cognitive Behavior Therapy) and CPP (Child Parent Psychotherapy).

One of Krista's main objectives is to create meaningful experiences for each individual child. Krista's interest in yoga and mindful practices inform her work and these practices used to connect children with their inner strengths. She enjoys finding these foundational elements and working with them to aid personal growth. She is a parent of two young children and lives in Brooklyn NY.

Krista is influenced by many progressive education models. Her studies in Reggio philosophy coupled with her experiences while working at Bank Street Family Center have deeply shaped her understanding of what children are capable of and their overall development needs. During her undergraduate studies at Evergreen State College, she visited Reggio Emilia to observe the schools and the educators firsthand. This experience opened her eyes to the joy of what the educational experience can be for children. Her graduate studies expanded this knowledge to focus on the early development of children and their families. Through this work, she became even more acutely aware of the importance of strong support relationships for young children. Her education and related experiences have reinforced a strong belief in the importance of a parent's role in childhood. For her, it is an undeniable fact that supporting the family entails supporting the child.

Krista does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, citizenship status, age or ability and is full committed to creating  a safe space for all families.
